“Engineers Week will be observed during the week of February 20th to 26th, 2022. In keeping with the activities of Engineers Week, Bahamas Society of Engineers plan to have mentorship sessions and make presentations to high school students considering STEM areas of study. More updates will follow in the upcoming weeks.
We also plan to collaborate with the recently appointed Professional Engineers Board. It is our hope to leverage this collaboration to expose interested young people to what it is like to work as professionals in such fields; especially in our new reality as the world battles COVID-19.
We feel our presentations could inspire young people to consider entering such fields. STEM professionals are critical in today’s technology driven world and will be called upon to find creative solutions to working and collaborating with others safely and effectively in these changing times.”
